A Mother's Farewell

This is the poem that was written especially for Lauren, by Dr. Bill Averitt that conducted her service. Today, I felt like sharing it! <3

A Mother's Farewell

Today, we say good-bye to our baby daughter.
Yet, we know she is not misplaced.
She is in God's heavenly palace,
Among Angels, not bound by time or space.

With Angels, she sits before the Lord's throne,
Dressed in lace and a radiant smile on her face.
She is dancing happily, as little girls like to do,
With golden taps on each little shoe.

Let us be grateful she is in Heaven,
Where she is healthy and strong;
And she is lulled to sleep each night,
By Angels, singing the Lord's love song.

Even though she is no longer here,
On earth with me,
Her eyes will never tear,
How sweet to know she lives in eternity.
