Lauren's 4th Birthday

I can't believe my baby would be 4 years old. </3
This year we had a small get together on Lauren's birthday by her grave.
I chose Frozen as her theme because Halley loves Frozen and my nephews who are around Lauren's age love it as well. I think it was perfect for a 4 year old birthday theme.

We sang to her, had a little cake, and did a balloon release for her.

I seriously couldn't have more love for my family at times like this. I always feel like they won't want to get together with us or it is asking too much for them to go out of their way to meet and celebrate with us. Every time, they always come through. They are always there for us. They always remind me that they love and miss Lauren just as much. I don't think I could make it through her birthday (and everyday) without them.

Here are some pictures. <3

Halley's 4th Grade Graduation

My baby isn't in elementary school any more! She graduated from 4th grade today. She is getting so big, I seriously wanted to cry the entire day. Any big moments for Halley I like to soak up as much as I can. Especially since I don't have these moments with Lauren and I don't have hope to have thee moments with any other child. All big moments make me emotional.  I've learned tomorrow is never promised, so I try to be "in the moment" for everything that happens - if that makes sense.

Anyways, here are a few pictures from her graduation. <3

Easter 2015

Easter was a simple one for us this year.

We spent the day with Brandon's family. Halley made cookies, we enjoyed a fantastic meal, did an egg hunt for Halley (she was the only kiddo), and then went to visit Lauren.

Lauren would be 3 years old this Easter, and I can't help but think how much fun she would think an egg hunt would be! <3

Snow Day 2015

Snow hit Dallas recently and of course everyone went running scared and closed everything: Schools, Work, Fast food, etc. But while no one could drive, we could go play! After the ice melted some, we had to go visit Lauren. You know we can never leave her out of any of our adventures. :D So we made sure to give her a snowman to play with too! <3

Daddy/ Daughter Dance - Year #5

I can't believe that this is Halley's last year going to the Daddy/ Daughter Sweetheart Dance. I am not really sure if they continue them in intermediate school, but I sure hope so. Brandon and Halley have been attending the school's Daddy/ Daughter dances since they first establish one, when Halley was in  Kindergarten. I know she really looks forward to it every year and I think it is a great opportunity to get out and have fun with friends in the "dance" type environment but having fun with her parent there. Plus it gives them quality time and I think will help her when she is older and not desperately looking for male attention since she has his all the time. I believe that a girl learns how she should be treated based on her relationship with her father, so I am happy anytime these types of moments come along.

I do not go to the dances, but I always have someone there to take photos of them. This year it was my niece and my brother-in-law that attended with Brandon and Halley.

See some of the adorable pictures below!

This last photo is my FAVORITE! I just love those two so incredibly much. <3
